Ch-1 . Transfer

Jay-jay's POV Haaaaaa!!!! This is crazy! I’m nervous, and at the same time, I feel like I need to poop. Hehe. Starting today, I’ll be studying at Higher Value International School. Fancy name! I’m already near the room assigned to me by the registrar’s office. According to my registration papers, I was placed in the last section of E in 4th year high school. Apparently, I ended up there because my records weren’t that good. I can’t really blame them—I was a troublemaker in my previous school. I continued walking towards my classroom. Honestly, the school is beautiful. The grounds are spacious, and the atmosphere is fresh because there are lots of trees around. I think I’m going to like it here. I hope so. As I reached the classroom, I noticed some guys hanging out by the door. There were five of them, and they all had the same messy way of wearing their uniforms. They looked a bit scary, but as they say, "Don’t judge the book by its cover." I walked toward them. They all stopped talking and turned to face me. They all stared at me seriously. Okay, this is kind of scary! "Uhmm... B-Brothers, i-is Section E here?" Why am I stuttering? This is so embarrassing! They looked at each other before turning their gaze back to me. It felt like they were scanning me from head to toe. Is there something wrong with how I look? "Not here... It's in the other building," answered the guy with brown hair. "They moved it! So get out of here already!" shouted the guy holding a lollipop. I got a bit scared by their yelling, so I ran off quickly. Geez! Did they really have to shout at me? If I weren’t new here... they’d be in trouble. The bell rang, signaling the start of class. Meanwhile, I was still walking toward my classroom. So annoying! I quickened my pace since the other building was still quite far. What’s strange is that the building I just came from was at the farthest part of the school, and it seemed like students didn’t go there often. The structure was still intact, but the paint was completely faded, full of graffiti, and scattered with old chairs and broken equipment. It had two floors and about four to six rooms in total. I just wasn’t sure if— Everything seemed unused. Unlike the building in front of me now—it was brand new with a nice paint job. It had four floors and many rooms. Some rooms even had air conditioning. So fancy!! I quickly entered the building to find my room. I had been walking for several minutes, but I couldn’t find it. I wasn’t blind, but I just couldn’t seem to locate Section E. Then, I spotted a classroom with a sign on the side of the door. It only said "Section", but there was a faint mark where the letter E used to be. This must be it!! I went in right away. The students stopped what they were doing when they saw me. There were about 20+ of them. I looked around for the teacher, but no one was there. So, I headed straight to an empty seat at the back. Their eyes followed me. "A transferee?" "Dude, a chick!" "We have someone new?" They whispered to each other. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was shy or just plain irritated. I didn’t like being the center of attention, and they were practically making it obvious that I was their topic. I just lowered my head and held onto my bag. "Hi!" Someone approached and greeted me. I looked up and saw a girl. She was really pretty… hehe… Are you an angel? She was beautiful. Her hair was long, and her skin was so fair. She also looked tall, probably older than me. "H-Hello po..." I greeted shyly. "You don’t need to say 'po,' we’re probably the same age." "Ahh… O-Okay." "Are you new?" she asked while pulling a chair. She sat in front of me. "O-Op— Oh, yeah. I’m new here." "What’s your name?" she asked warmly. "Jasper Jean Mariano, Jay-jay for short," I replied with a smile. Yes! I’m starting to feel comfortable now. "I’m Rakki… Class President." She extended her hand to me, and I shook it. Her name sounded so cool! She seemed cool too… hehe. "Jay, are you sure you’re in the right section?" she suddenly asked. I looked at her, confused, but just stared blankly. "As far as I know, there’s a transferee for Section E, but this isn’t Section E." Not here. Son of a... Looks like I entered the wrong section. Shit! "Uhmm... W-What section is this?" I whispered to Rakki. The whole class was staring at us. It would be so embarrassing if they heard that I was in the wrong section. This is so humiliating!! Rakki stepped closer and whispered back. "Section C." Shit!! I was wrong!! Damn it!! I slowly stood up and walked toward the door, keeping my head down. Please don’t look at me… please... I was almost at the door when Rakki suddenly blocked my way. "Where are you going? Ma’am is about to arrive." Even though I didn’t want to, I took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes. "Rakki..." I started. "...I-I entered the wrong section." "Pfffft... I told you so!!" she replied loudly, laughing. Even her classmates started chuckling. Jesus!! Ground, swallow me whole… and take them too!! I slowly walked out of the room, and even when I had gotten quite far, I could still hear their laughter. This is so embarrassing! So frustrating! I ran back quickly… Building of Section E—the real Section E! Those guys better prepare themselves! This is all their fault. If they hadn't directed me to that building, I wouldn't have ended up in the wrong section. So annoying! Section C will remember this forever! I finally reached the room, and as soon as I entered, I was met with raised eyebrows. But… wrong move!! There was a teacher already teaching. He stopped and looked at me. Oh no! "Yes?" he asked. I straightened myself, quickly grabbing my registration papers—but wait! I needed to make sure! "I-Is this Section E?" I asked loudly. The teacher nodded and looked at me. I immediately handed him my registration paper. "Ahh… So you’re the transfer student. I’ve been waiting for you." He quickly pulled me to the front and positioned me beside him. "…I’m Mr. Alvin Siongco." I smiled at him, and he gestured for me to introduce myself to the class. That’s when I noticed the guys I had spoken to earlier. Those traitors! These guys are unbelievable! Look at what they did to me! I shot them a deadly glare, making sure they felt the intensity of my anger. I glared at them, but those troublemakers just snickered—except for the guy with the lollipop earlier. "Class! Silent, please…" Sir turned to me again. "Go ahead, introduce yourself." I took a deep breath. "My name is Jasper Jean Mariano. You can call me Jay-Jay. I'm from Holy Saints High School." The whole class just stared at me, giving me blank looks—except for the guy with the lollipop earlier, who kept a poker face. "Class president… don’t you have any questions?" Sir Alvin asked. No one answered. It seemed like their class president was absent. What bad timing. "Class President…" Sir Alvin’s tone changed slightly. He looked seriously at the group of guys I had spoken to earlier. "Tss…" the guy with the lollipop muttered. He stood up lazily and looked at me. Wait! He’s the class president? No way! "Question…" Sir Alvin's voice sounded like an order. The guy took a deep breath. "Are you still a virgin?" My eyes widened at his question, while the whole class burst into laughter. "Keifer!" Sir Alvin shouted angrily. He smirked. "You said 'question'… That is a question." No respect! He even talked back to the teacher. Arrogant! I glared at him. "Sir Alvin is referring to a decent question." There! I spoke in English! I hope my lunch money lasts. The whole class erupted in an "ooohhhhhh" reaction. The class president, whom Sir called Keifer, frowned. "You want a decent question? Okay… When are you leaving our section?" The whole class reacted with another "ooohhhhhh." Honestly, I was getting annoyed by what they were doing, but I was even more irritated with this Keifer! He was ridiculously arrogant! What now?! Just because he had a position, he had the right to act all high and mighty? "You? When are you disappearing from this world?" I snapped back at him, arms crossed. The class’s "ooohhhhhh" got even louder. Even Sir Alvin reacted. "Why don’t you go first?" he answered with a smirk. "Because I'm the one who'll make you disappear from this world." "Like you can…" "Yes, I can…" I replied with determination. Sir Alvin said, "Okay… Okay… Both of you need to stop. Keifer, sit down. And Miss Mariano, you can choose any seat you want." Wow! I wasn’t even done with him yet. He gave me a nasty look, but I shifted my attention to finding a seat. You’ll get yours later! That wasn’t a problem since there were plenty of empty seats—most of them in the middle. The tables and chairs were arranged like in Japan, even though they were old. There were more than 20 pairs of tables and chairs here, but most students sat at the back and sides. The arrangement looked like the letter "U." The middle section had fewer people sitting. So, I decided to sit there. I ended up looking like a total loner in my seat. What’s strange about this class—aside from their seating arrangement—is that only around 15 or 16 students were here. And one more thing… I haven’t seen a single girl.
